The Hassle Free Barbell Club is excited to be hosting this year's Werksan Springfest at Sacramento High School on Saturday, May 23, 2009 (entry deadline 5/19). This meet is part of Werksan's High School Weightlifting program and is for High School students only, boys and girls. Medals will be given for 1-3 in each weight class. Furthermore, thanks to Werksan's generosity, we will be giving the winning boy's team a WerkSan 187kg training set and the winning girl's team a WerkSan 170kg high school set.
This is a sanctioned meet and is the West Coast's last-chance qualifying event for the School Age Nationals in June.
We encourage you to bring as many High School lifters as you like, but the team awards will be based on the overall points for your pre-selected, maximum 8 lifters (8 girls and 8 boys). Your team selections must be made prior to the first session. Forms will be available, the day of the event. There is no additional fee to be eligible for the team awards. We will be using the same team scoring system applied at USAW National events.
Also, following the weightlifting, Hassle Free BBC will be hosting a VIP Fundraising Wine and Cheese event from 6:30-8:30 in the Sacramento High School East Wing Commons. An invitation letter and donation request will be mailed separately.
